Aims Of The Centre
Angels Childcare Centres aim to:
- Provide a quality environment that is educational, individualised, and caters to the child's needs and interests, inclusive of children with special needs.
- Provide an environment that is safe, yet provides challenge and diversity.
- Provide an environment that is anti bias and caters for the child's cultural, family and linguistic diversity.
- Provide an emergent curriculum that looks at the holistic child, as well as the developmental areas of language, cognitive, social/emotional, fine and gross motor development.
- A balance of quiet and active activities A rest time will be provided each day.
- A balance of indoor and outdoor activities.
- A nutritionally balanced, healthy, fresh menu provided daily.
- Encourage independence and self help skills.
- Positive interactions and encouragement to promote positive self-esteem and self-awareness.
- For staff to regularly evaluate and improve practices at the centre and their own caregiving practices.
- For staff to attend regular training and inservice courses, and make a commitment to keeping up to date with childcare information.
- To promote and encourage community involvement in the centre.
- To promote and encourage parent and family involvement in the centre.
- To provide families with up to date information about health, hygiene, childcare, centre practices, policy development and decision making.
- Make a commitment to accreditation and follow the NCAC's Quality practices guidelines.
- To be aware of the Code of Ethics and adhere to it's standards.
- To be aware of the Code of Conduct and adhere to it's standards.
- To be aware of laws and DOC's regulations, and adhere to the standards set within them.
