Little Angels Kindergarten
Little Angels Kindergarten is located at 29 Prospect Street. Rosehill. The building is a historical home built in the early 1900's.
It was originally owned by one family who left the home in their will to the Saint Vincent De Paul charity. Saint Vincents operated the home as a boarding house for young teenagers who were unable to live at home, before the property was converted to a childcare centre in 2001.
Little Angels has a warm homely feel with wonderful original period features. The large trees in the rear yard are heritage listed and offer a wonderful place for children to run and play. Our large sandpit is also fully enclosed to offer children a special place away from the main play yard to dig and explore.
The staff employed at Little Angels have years of experience offering quality childcare. Many staff speak a second language and offer a rich and diverse blend of nationalities and cultures. The staff hold qualifications in first aid, anaphylaxis, autism, safe food handling and hygiene as well as holding various degrees and diplomas in children's services.
Little Angels caters for all dietary requirements and cultures. We provide vegetarian meals and Halal meats. We also provide soy alternatives for lactose intolerant children. Any other dietary requirements can be organised with the centre cook.
The centre offers care for children 0-5 years of age and provides Before, After and Vacation care for children attending Rosehill public school which is located across the road.
Our pre-school program is extremely successful with our 4-5 years age group. We do daily pre-school academic learning and send homework home for parents to become involved in their child's learning. The program explores school readiness and covers all developmental areas. The children learn writing and reading skills and learn skills to help develop friendships and adjust to new environments such as big school. The program is aimed to prepare children for the changes of entering primary school and giving them a head start in their education.
Our program follows the principals of an emergent curriculum where we teach our children based on their interests and strengths in small or large groups, or one on one interaction. Each child helps create a journal, which is a collection of art, craft, drawings, photo's and observations of the child's development and journey over the year. This journal forms a keepsake for each child and family.
Little Angels plans visits from shows, animal farms, puppet shows, jumping castles, special community visits as well as planned experiences from visiting parents. Parents are always welcome to participate in our program.
The centre has video camera security to monitor the flow of parents and families entering and exiting the centre.
